Septic System Preventative Maintenance Provided To Customers

All Clear Septic and Wastewater Services is fortunate to have many long term customers who we have developed excellent working relationships with. This may seem unusual for a septic company but in addition to repairing and inspecting septic systems we also provide septic system preventative maintenance programs for our customers which many property owners continue to receive for many years because they are so pleased with the service that we provide. We monitor and maintain our customers’ septic systems so they can be confident that their septic system is working correctly and will continue to do so. Nobody likes to have to deal with a septic breakdown but this is especially true for commercial business owners who lose revenue when they are unable to open due to a septic problem. That is why our customers include many local restaurants, takeaways, coffee shops and fast food restaurants. Septic system preventative maintenance is provided discreetly and quickly without causing any downtown in operation which is, of course, essential. We also service residential customers properties and the regularity of our services depends on the septic system and the use it gets. We have customers who have a 2nd home on the Cape who don’t use their system all year round so they do not need their system to be serviced as frequently as a busy fast food restaurant. We generally see our customers on a quarterly, biannual or annual basis, as required. In actuality we don’t even need to ‘see’ our clients when we carry out a service because we can usually access the septic system without the property owners assistance. Septic Services On Many Types Of Septic System

All Clear Septic and Wastewater Services has been working in this region on septic systems for over 20 years. During this time we have worked with many different types of septic system and therefore gained knowledge and experience working on systems such as Singulair, FAST, Sand Filter, Jet System, Fuji Clean and many others. All Septic Systems are designed specifically for their own site and have variances which make them unique but most systems are based on the same principles. A conventional septic system consists of a septic tank, a distribution box and a drainfield. Your septic system treats your household wastewater by temporarily holding it in the septic tank where heavy solids and lighter scum are allowed to separate from the wastewater. The solids stored in the tank are decomposed by bacteria and later pumped out. After partially treated wastewater leaves the tank, it flows into a distribution box, which separates this flow evenly into a network of drainfield trenches. Drainage holes at the bottom of each line allow the wastewater to drain into gravel trenches for temporary storage. This effluent then slowly seeps into the subsurface soil where it is further treated and purified. Like anything in your home your septic system must be maintained to ensure it keeps working correctly. If you do not want the worry of looking after your system or have a business and a septic failure would mean lost revenue it may be worth considering a septic service plan. We service many types of septic systems for our customers on quarterly, biannual or annual basis depending on their system and the amount of use it gets. Today we have septic services scheduled in Rehoboth, Norton, Rochester, Seekonk, Freetown and Swansea MA. If you would be interested in a septic service or you have questions about your septic system or septic services specifically please do contact our Norton office on 508-763-4431 or visit http://www.allclearseptic.com

Septic Pumping Also Provided By All Clear Septic and Wastewater Services

All Clear Septic and Wastewater Services not only inspects septic systems and repairs septic systems but also provides essential septic system maintenance – perhaps most importantly septic pumping. Septic Systems must be pumped periodically to remain operating correctly. Even if your system seems to be working correctly you do not want to wait it until it shows evidence of septic problems before you choose to pump your system. By then you could have a large septic problem which may require an expensive septic repair whereas staying on top of your septic pumping schedule will ensure that you are doing the most important part of maintaining your septic system. Septic systems do not need to be pumped that often, if fact if you pump too often you can harm your septic system by removing the beneficial bacteria that is required to process your waste. A properly maintained septic system should only be pumped every 2-5 years, as needed, to avoid removing the “good” bacteria and keep the system running smoothly. You only need to have your system pumped annually if you have a garbage disposal. Today we have septic pumping appointments in Bridgewater, Canton, Middleboro, Mansfield, Stoughton and Raynham MA. If it has been over three years since you had your septic tank pumped, give All Clear Septic and Wastewater Services a call at our Norton office on 508-763-4431 for an evaluation and to set up quick and easy pumping arrangements.

Leach Field Problem Identified and Repaired

All Clear Septic and Wastewater Services have been contacted by a client in North Attleboro who suspects that they have a leach field problem. They have noticed a sewage smell in their yard around the leach field area and there is a consistent wet, sogginess on the field. Other signs that you may have a problem can include lush vegetation over the leach field, frequent pumping of the tank being required, and/or slow drains.

Leach fields fail for two primary reasons. The main reason is referred to as biological clogging. This is the development of a biomat beneath the drainfield that eventually prevents the liquid or effluent from entering the underlying soil. This biomat is a combination of fine organic solids that have been carried out of the septic tank and the remnants of anaerobic bacteria. These bacteria originate in the human intestinal tract and enter the septic system with the waste products. 95% of all leach field failures are biological. The second primary reason is referred to as a mechanical failure. This could be a structural collapse of the leach field piping or chambers, root intrusion, or fine non-organic materials that are washed down to the bottom of the leach field and seal the soil.

All Clear Septic and Wastewater Services have many years experience identifying and repairing leach field problems and will find locate and repair our client’s leach field problem. We have other septic repair appointments today in Wrentham, Middleboro, Mansfield and Norton MA. Septic Engineering Services Available including PERC Tests, Septic Design and Septic Improvements

All Clear Septic and Wastewater Services have trained septic experts who can assist property owners with their septic engineering requirements. We can assist with services to improve or repair your property such as soil evaluations, septic design and land use planning, septic improvements such as installation of risers, covers or filters and construction layouts for large or small commercial developments. Today we are conducting a soil evaluation for a customer in Attleboro MA. The soil evaluation will determine if the client’s building site is suitable for a conventional septic system and is typically called a “perc test’ or “perk test” (a percolation test). Traditional septic systems only work if the soil in the leach area is sufficiently permeable that it can readily absorb the liquid effluent flowing into it. Also, there must be sufficient ‘good’ soil from the bottom of the leach pipes to the rock or impervious hardpan below, or to the water table. Less commonly, a site can fail because the soil is too permeable, allowing the effluent to reach the groundwater before it is fully treated. Very steep slopes are also unsuitable for a conventional leach field. The specific standards vary from town to town, but any of these characteristics can prohibit the use of a standard gravity-fed septic system. All Clear Septic and Wastewater Services have extensive experience with various types of septic system so there are always alternative systems that can be used if the perc test does show some unfavourable results for a conventional system. We also have extensive experience with towns in this region so we know the individual requirements for different towns. We have other septic engineering appointments today in Norton, Rehoboth, Raynham and Dighton MA.
