septic maintenance All Clear Septic and Wastewater Services know that regular maintenance of a septic system will ensure the longevity of your system and also vastly reduce the likelihood of septic breakdowns and failures.
The most important maintenance for a septic system is regular septic pumping.  Pump outs are essential because your tank will eventually fill up and, as you can probably imagine, nothing good will ever come from a septic tank that is so full,  there is no where for your waste to go.
The frequency of pumpouts depends upon a number of factors including the size of your septic tank and the amount of wastewater that enters it.  For example, generally speaking, a retired couple use less water than a family of 5 with teenage children. However, if that couple regularly host large family gatherings or have extended family come to visit for a large amount of time then their water usage will increase again.
We would usually suggest that septic tanks are pumped every 3 – 5 years but of course this will vary, so if you are unsure, please do contact us for advice.  Property owners also need to be aware that if they have a garbage disposal (which they use) they will need to have their tank pumped annually because this vastly reduces the amount of time needed between pump outs.
Today we have septic pumping appointments for customers in North Attleboro, Wrentham, Mansfield, Foxboro, Bellingham, and Franklin, MA.  If you are unsure whether your system needs to be pumped or if you have any septic questions or need to schedule a septic pump out, please do contact our Norton office at 508-763-4431 or visit www.allclearseptic.com
